Long-acting benzathine penicillin G given as an intramuscular injection. Dr. Ross considers it nearly as effective as IV antibiotics, without the need for an IV line. Combine with intracellular and anti-cyst agents.

Why this combination
Dr. Ross builds every regimen around four rules: cover all forms of the germ (spirochetes and round-body cysts), cover Lyme inside and outside cells, combine drugs that attack in different ways, and hit growing and persister phases at the same time.
